St. John Gualbert C.C.D.
St.
John Gualbert Church provides a strong Religious Education
Program for children and young adults attending public
schools. Instruction is provided for Grades 1 through 11
with the students receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation
in second grade; Holy Eucharist in third grade and
Confirmation in eleventh grade. During each year of
instruction a strong emphasis is placed on attending Mass on
Sunday's and Holy Days and receiving the sacraments
regularly.
The program is
staffed by volunteer catechists, many who have been
instructing the students for many years, and directors who
enjoy helping students learn about their faith. The program
meets on Sunday mornings in the school at 10:30.
"GO YE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS"
Our Religious Education
program is always looking for people who would like to lend
their talents by teaching the young people of our parish. What a wonderful way to share your faith –
instructing children and teens. It is not a difficult task.
Our books and resource materials practically plan classes
for you. If assistance is needed, we are there to help.
Anyone who is 18 or older, has been confirmed, and practices
their faith by attending Mass and receiving the sacraments
regularly, is welcome to teach. Please call Associate
Director Karen Pszczolkowski at 510-6816 to discuss becoming
a Religious Education educator.
